20% Theatre Company Chicago is proud to announce SNAPSHOTS 2008!

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
20% Theatre Company Chicago, a company dedicated to producing plays by women, is now accepting submissions of original pieces for SNAPSHOTS 2008! We
are seeking short (5-10 minute) pieces written by local women with interesting female characters.  This is an exciting summer event -- so we are looking for pieces that are well written, comedic, light and fun in nature. We are only accepting pieces from Chicago-area writers.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 26^th

The last two summers, we have gathered over 60 actors, writers, directors, designers and presented "SNAPSHOTS: an evening of short pieces" to sold out houses. We are delighted to continue this annual tradition!

SNAPSHOTS will be performed Thursday August 14^th through Sunday August 17^th at Strawdog Theatre.

SNAPSHOTS!!!!

Nicole Gilman most recently directed the world premiere production of Tester by Jennifer Dobby as well as the staged reading of Our Vigil Strange by Sarah Gubbins, both for 20%. She has also directed in the 2006 and 2007 Snapshots short play festivals for 20%. Additionally, she directed a Raven Theatre workshop production of The Paringtons by Kalena Victoria Dickerson. Other favorite credits include The Shape of Things, Wiley and the Hairy Man, and Sister Mary Ignatius Explains it all for you. She is currently working on her Master's thesis at DePaul.

LIZ COOPER, Company Member 

Liz is very excited to be a part of 20% Theatre Company.  Her previous credits with 20% include lighting design for Top Girls, and assistant lighting design for Snapshots 2007.  She is looking forward to being a part of future 20% productions.
When not working on shows, Liz busies herself with several part time jobs, and sitting in traffic.
